About Doug
Meet Doug Jones, Capstone Title and Escrow’s founder. Doug’s career began in law enforcement and soon transitioned into law, where he graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Once he began practicing, he decided to go a step further and serve his country. He began his service as a Judge Advocate in the United States Navy, followed by a
tenure as associated General Counsel for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. With Doug at the helm, our title and escrow company stands at the intersection of legal acumen and military precision with a unique blend of legal insight and operational rigor in the field of real estate law.
As our company grew, Doug saw a need for faster abstract turnaround and filled that need by founding Upper Cumberland Abstracts in the Spring of 2021. With both title and abstract working as one, we strive to expedite closings which places us at the top of our industry.
Beyond our daily operations, our founder continues to serve as counsel for a local community bank, leveraging a deep understanding of banking and real estate law to guide decisions and ensure compliance in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
